At IAPF, our Continental Reps are the lifeblood of our global mission. We’ve structured our movement to reflect the world’s great cultural clusters. That’s why we have eight dedicated Continental Reps, each rooted in a specific region: Asia, South Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, North America, South American countries,

Why Continental Reps Matter

  • We believe that rhythm and percussion transcend borders. But every region has its own stories, traditions, and needs. Our Reps help us tailor programs that respect those differences.

  • Our Continental Reps serve as connectors: they bring the IAPF mission into local communities, foster national federations, and spark participation.

  • They support everything from education to competition, helping translate our global goals into grassroots action.

  • They help us build and sustain National ArtsGames Federations (NAFs) across countries. The IAPF is in service of a vision that spans 196 countries.

Meet Our Continental Reps

Here are our eight continental rep clusters, each guided by passionate volunteers:

  • Asia — From East Asia to Southeast Asia, our volunteers here champion both traditional and contemporary percussive art.
  • South Asia — With vibrant rhythms rooted in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and beyond, this team brings deep heritage into the fold.
  • Africa — The heartbeat of many percussive traditions, our African volunteers celebrate djembe, talking drums, and so much more.
  • Middle East — Weaving together Arabic, Persian, and other traditions, this region balances ancient ritual and modern voice.
  • Europe — Volunteers across Europe help us balance classical, folk, and experimental percussive traditions.
  • North America — Spanning North, Central, this team supports a rich mix: taiko, samba, Indigenous drum circles, and beyond.
  • South America — Latin America, Spain, and other Spanish-speaking nations bring their own percussive flair — congas, cajóns, and more.
  • Indigenous Nations — We honor rhythm traditions rooted in native cultures around the world, and our Indigenous  volunteers work to amplify and protect these vital voices.
